Day 1    Ben Venuti in Italia!

Arrive in Firenze airport and a private transfer will take you to your hotel, the Etruria Resort,  in Montepulciano.  Enjoy some free time to relax in the spa after your long journey. This afternoon you'll have a short briefing with your guide and get your bike for the week. Tonight you'll feast on a wonderful dinner with local products, and then slip into bed to rest up for your big adventure tomorrow!

Day 2   Montepulciano / Monticchiello / Pienza

The day will start with you and your guide riding through the soft rolling Tuscan hills  to visit the famous town of Montecchiello, and then pausing at Pienza for a light lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon you'll visit the medieval town of Pienza and on the way back to the hotel you'll stop to visit a local producer of typical cheese and organic olive oil.  Another wonderful Tuscan dinner tonight and then a restful sleep at your hotel.

Day 3    San Quirico d’Orcia / Bagno Vignoni / Castiglione d’Orcia

Today features a magnificent bike tour through the beautiful landscapes of the Val d’Orcia which is a UNESCO heritage site. You'll visit important and picturesque towns like San Quirico d’Orcia, Bagno Vignoni and Castiglione d’Orcia. After a short transfer to Montalcino you will visit a gorgeous winery where you'll (of course) have the opportunity to have a taste session. You can look forward to yet another relaxing evening at your hotel spa, followed by  yet another delicious Tuscan dinner.

Day 4    Colle Val d’Elsa

Today is all about relaxing, recharging, and exploring.  This morning after breakfast you'll have a private transfer to the famous town of Volterra, which was once an important Etruscan city that pre-dated the Romans.  Here you will visit the Roman Theatre, Palazzo dei Priori with its beautiful square and the Cathedral. After having lunch in typical restaurant, you'll transfer to the elegant Palazzo San Lorenzo hotel for a relaxing spa visit, followed by a delightful dinner.

Day 5    Monteriggioni / San Miniato / Siena

Today you'll ride through the classical Tuscan landscape, past numerous tiny ancient villages to the majestic walled city of Siena.  Here you'll find the charming Piazza del Campo, arguably the most beautiful square in all of Italy, and home of the famous Palio di Siena horse race. You'll enjoy a light lunch in a typical restaurant in Siena and a guided tour of the city.  Tonight you'll find yourself back at the Palazzo San Lorenzo Hotel for relaxing evening.

Day 6    Colle Val d’Elsa / San Gimignano

You and your guide will start your day with a bike ride to reach the quirky but wonderful city of  San Gimignano, with its distinctive skyline full of imposing towers.  Here you'll visit the city and the its main monuments.  After working up an appetite you'll find yourself at Fattoria Il Palagetto where you can admire its beautiful winery, vineyards and olives groves.  Enjoy a light lunch in the fattoria, with a typical Tuscan farm meal featuring products from the fattoria.   Then relax for your private transfer back to the Palazzo San Lorenzo for relaxing evening in the spa, followed by dinner and a well-deserved sleep.

Day 7    Firenze

After breakfast this morning you'll have a private transfer to the magnificent city of Florence for a guided tour of the Capital of the Renaissance.  You'll explore all the fascinating sites of this classic city, including the stunning Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria.  You'll enjoy dinner in typical Florentine ristorante, have time to wander the magical streets of the city, and then overnight in Hotel De La Ville.

Day 8    Arrivederci Italia

After breakfast today you'll have a private transfer to the Florence airport.
